Day in the Park 2024 is Coming!

Since 1926, when the Junior League of Lynchburg (JLL) was founded, we have harnessed the power of women’s leadership in Central Virginia to create a more vibrant, caring, and dynamic place for all of us to live.  Day In The Park is an event which allows the League to fulfill our mission while providing a day of family-focused fun for local residents. We are proud to partner with our community and offer a platform for local businesses and organizations to reach families that may not normally have access. The JLL is committed to ensuring that children and their families have the optimal opportunities and services essential for their physical well-being and safety, intellectual, educational, emotional, mental, and social growth. 

For over 40 years, Day in the Park has been a fun-filled event in which the Junior League of Lynchburg embraces the community alongside local nonprofit organizations. On September 11th, 2021 Day In The Park returned after a brief restorative hiatus, and it was a huge success! The family fun day offered a festival like atmosphere full of experimental villages, each with its own focus on enriching the lives of elementary-age children and their families through local vendors, organizations, entertainment, and large exhibits.

We are eagerly awaiting our 2024 Day in the Park, scheduled for September 14th, 2024 at Miller Park in Lynchburg from 10AM-2PM.

As we plan and make preparations for this year’s event we ask you stayed tuned for our roll out and thank you to this year’s entertainment, vendors, and sponsors we will list below.
